Harold Hynick

Harold Hynick is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Missouri Valley College where he has taught for 10 years. In 2016 he was honored with the, John McCallum Excellence in Teaching Award.  Harold enjoys teaching acting, directing, improv, history, and playwriting.  He is active in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, where he served as the Missouri State Chair for Region VI from 2009-2013.   Last season he played Frankland in Hound of the Baskervilles.  Some of his favorite Lyceum credits include Mr. DiPinna in You Can’t Take It With You, Mortimer in The Fantasticks, and Bob Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird.  Outside the Lyceum his favorite roles have been Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing at The Penobscot Theatre, Selsdon in Noises Off at The Black Hills Playhouse, and Autolycus in The Winter’s Tale at the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival.  He also performs his original one-man version of A Christmas Carol each December.  He would like to thank Steve and Quin for inviting him back for another season!
