Tim Jones

A Washington, DC area based freelance Scenic and Props Designer, his most recent Design work include: St Louis Black Rep’s Theatre Alliance, Theatre J, African Continuum Theatre WSC Avant Bard’s, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and others across the DC area.
Presently he is the full time Prop Shop Manager and instructor at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland. He has also worked as Prop Master or artisan at many Theatres around the Washington, DC area including the Kennedy Center’s Theatre for Young Audiences, Round House Theatre, Mosaic Theatre just to name a few. He ha also worked at other theatres around the country including Playmaker Rep (Chapel Hill, NC) and the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival. Tim holds a Master of Fine Arts in Scenery and Properties Design from the University of Memphis and a BA in Communication from the Salisbury State College. He is a member of the Society of Properties Artisan & Masters.
