The Baby Boomer Comedy Show: Clean Comedy for People Born Before Seat Belts, Safety Helmets and Facebook is coming to the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre.

 

Taking the stage at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016, The Baby Boomer Comedy Show by Jan McInnis, comedian and comedy writer, and Kent Rader, is a 90-minute theater event, with clean humor on topics that the “boomer generation” can relate to — family, kids, work, do-it-yourself projects, dieting, aging and all. Fellow baby boomers and veteran comedians Jan McInnis and Kent Rader join their talents together in this unique show that’s packed full of funny along with many “ah ha” moments for everyone, the release continued.

McInnis and Rader have a combined over 30 years of experience performing at theaters, comedy clubs and corporation and association venues throughout the country. They’ve been a hit at thousands of conventions and professional events.

Ms. McInnis was featured in the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post for her clean humor, and Mr. Rader’s clean comedy won him the Branson Comedy festival award. The two will shine their comedic spot-lights on such universal topics as work, dieting, aging, family and do-it-yourself projects, finding comedy in situations that we take too seriously.

Ms. McInnis has sold comedy material to a wide range of markets including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Her book is Finding The Funny Fast: How To Create Quick Humor To Connect With Clients, Coworkers And Crowds. Inspired by 15 years as a marketing director in the 9 to 5 world, she is a popular speaker at association and corporate conventions. And during more than 14 years on the full-time speaking circuit, she has spoken a hundreds  of  conferences, training  sessions, employee retreats and banquets held by such organizations as Anthem BlueCross, the Mayo Clinic, Merrill Lynch, John Deere, the Federal Reserve, Women in Insurance and Financial Services and the Mayo Clinic. She was featured in theWall Street Journal and the Washington Post as one of the top convention comedians whose material is “clean”(as in not offensive). Born in D.C., Ms. McInnis was in charge of the “Joke of the Day” for her junior high school lunch table. She majored in communications at Virginia Tech, where she was a disk jockey for the local radio station.

Arrow Rock, MO, March 2, 2016. Single tickets are now on sale for the eight productions in Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre’s 56th season in Arrow Rock, Missouri. The award-winning Lyceum Theatre is set to open its 2016 Season on June 1 with the Lyceum premiere of an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit, Funny Girl. Join the Lyceum Theatre during its monumental 56th season. The theatre will produce an eight show season featuring one premiere, four musicals and a classic Neil Simon comedy. The season, running from June through September, will also include a special production in December.

Quin Gresham, Producing Artistic Director, is currently in New York City auditioning to assemble an extraordinary group of artists and technicians to give life to the characters. “It is always our goal at the Lyceum Theatre to continue making sure that each season is better than the last. I am confident that all of our talent, both offstage and on, will make that a reality in 2015.” said Gresham
