Funny Girl
A Lyceum Premiere! One of Broadway’s most acclaimed musicals and the show that launched the career of Barbra Streisand, Funny Girl tells the story of legendary entertainer Fanny Brice’s rise to fame, from her start as a bit player in vaudeville to becoming a headliner in the famed Ziegfeld Follies. Valued for her vocal and comedic talents by the renowned theater impresario Florenz Ziegfeld, Fanny thrives, but her relationship with a suave, charming gambler, Nick Arnstein, is another story. The show’s inspiring and beloved score includes the classic favorites “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star,” “The Music That Makes Me Dance” and the iconic hit, “People.”
