John Story
John has been creating theatre sound for more than 30 years. He has designed for the Arizona Theater Company, KC Rep, Quality Hill Playhouse, The Unicorn, MET, The Coterie Theatre and KC Fringe Festival. His designs have appeared on stages from Sweden to Australia, including a run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mr. Story has also worked in film and video, record production, broadcast audio and acoustical design, as well as touring extensively throughout the US. He received his MFA in Sound Design from UMKC, where he taught theatre sound technology. He is currently teaching sound design and engineering at Avila University, and sits on the board for Central Standard Theatre.
