Katie Barton
Katie is so grateful to be returning to Arrow Rock to honor one of her favorite eras in American music, Swing! She first learned to play the drums in middle school, following in the footsteps of her big brother, Matt. A native of Georgia, Katie earned her degree in musical theatre at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. She then went on to apprentice at Flat Rock Playhouse and Actors Theatre of Louisville. In the years since, she’s been acting and playing music professionally in theaters all over the country as well as a Broadway National Tour, an international tour, a brief stint in Las Vegas, and a few commercials. Some of her favorite past roles include: Dyanne—Million Dollar Quartet (National Tour, Las Vegas, Norwegian Getaway), Tammy Wynette in Stand By Your Man (Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre), June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire, Lucy—Dracula (Actors Theatre of Louisville). She dedicates this performance to Matt and Ben.
