Matthew Goinz

Matthew Goinz is a musical and theater performer whose work spans concert halls, theaters and recording studios from California to South Korea. Matt is the founding artistic director and principal conductor of The Sound Between®, a professional storytelling ensemble based in New York. As a vocalist, he can be heard on multiple Grammy-nominated recordings and has appeared recently at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Met Cloisters, The Breakers, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Guthrie Theater, and 54 Below. Matt holds advanced degrees in conducting and makes his home in Hamilton Heights with his incredible partner—actor, singer, and crossover artist Sophie Amelkin—and their two rescues, Lucy (12) and Lenny (5 months). He is a proud member of AFM Local 802, AGMA, and Actors’ Equity, and considers himself a pretty good cook. He is so thrilled to be back in Arrow Rock for his third season. IG: matthew.goinz
