Timothy Shew

Tim has performed in 12 Broadway shows and more than two dozen Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre productions spanning 45 years (first summer stock here at the Lyceum in 1981). Tim was the third Jean Valjean in the original multi Tony Award-winning Broadway production of “Les Miserables” and went on to perform that role more than 2,200 times. Tim has performed with symphonies and orchestras worldwide including the Baltimore Symphony and the National Symphony with Marvin Hamlisch at the Kennedy Center’s 35th Anniversary Celebration.Tim most recently was starring as The Wizard in the legendary Broadway National Tour of “Wicked.” Tim can be heard on the “Chicago/Shaggy Dog,” and Disney’s 3-D animated feature “Tangled” movie soundtracks. Tim met his wife Jane Brockman (soon to appear in this season’s “Into the Woods”) in 1993. Tim resides in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and New York City. Great to be back to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
