Wesley Unruh

Wesley is a composer and cellist based in Kansas. His music is inspired by the nature of humankind, our environment, and the modern world. He is a founding member of interdisciplinary improvisation groups including the Amorphous Collective and The Spirit of Breno. He is the recipient of several awards including: Brousseau Award for Diverse Media 2021; Matilla Award for Electronic Music Composition 2022; and Charlotte Street Competition 2023. He holds a Bachelors of Music Composition from the University of Kansas and serves as the composer-in-residence for the Bethel College Chamber Orchestra.
