The Artists Lounge Live Concert Series
With Two Unique Shows On February 17 and 18
Arrow Rock, MO – The Lyceum Theatre is proud to present the Artists Lounge Live Concert Series featuring two nationally touring recording artists performing two unique shows on both Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18, 2018. Michael Ingersoll (Jersey Boys, Under the Streetlamp on PBS) soothes the soul with Try a Little Tenderness, performing familiar favorites by James Taylor, Sam Cooke, Elton John, and more. Christopher Kale Jones (Jersey Boys, Under the Streetlamp on PBS) offers his distinctively passionate voice to Darin with a diverse catalogue of songs from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bobby Darin.
PBS television star Michael Ingersoll invites you to sing along to the songs you can’t forget in Try a Little Tenderness. Ingersoll is known for starring in Jersey Boys (Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) and as a member of retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp on PBS. More than a singer, Ingersoll is an endearing storyteller brimming with humor, sincerity, and generosity of spirit. Chicago Sun-Times exclaims, “He’s got star written all over him.”
As a founding member of retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp, his concert specials air in hundreds of millions of homes nationwide on PBS. Michael is also known for playing Nick Massi of the Four Seasons in the Tony Award-winning hit Jersey Boys (Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles). As well as performing, Michael and wife Angela Ingersoll produce the Artists Lounge Live Concert Series. As a producer, Michael collaborates with performing arts centers (Paramount Theatre, Elgin Arts Center, Northlight Theatre, etc.) and philanthropic organizations (American Cancer Society, United Way, Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, etc.), as well as co-producing Streetlamp’s concert specials for Public Television. Further theatre credits include Award Nominations for Of Mice and Men, Floyd Collins, Bat Boy: The Musical, and tick, tick… BOOM!. Further television appearances include Access Hollywood, Extra! (Streetlamp), The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show, PBS’ Capitol Fourth, The Primetime Emmy Awards (Jersey Boys), The Beast, and Chicago Fire. Film: Walk the Line. Beloved by audiences for starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys (First National Tour), Christopher Kale Jones currently wins hearts on PBS as a member of retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp boasting four PBS concert specials seen in hundreds of millions of homes nationwide. In his solo concert Darin, Jones embodies the dazzling versatility of Bobby Darin, recounting a life lived in the spotlight and lost too soon. Songs include “Dream Lover,” “Mack the Knife,” and “Beyond the Sea.” “Jones has the audience swooning until the final curtain,” raves Theatre Mania.
Jones’ other theatre highlights include starring as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors opposite his wife, actress Jenna Coker-Jones (Ford’s Theater, Washington DC); and Mercury in Olympus On My Mind (Bristol Riverside Theatre) for which he received a Barrymore Award Nomination. The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)(3), professional theatre located in the unique Village of Arrow Rock, Missouri, a 19th century National Historic Landmark. The Village of Arrow Rock received the 2017 Missouri Arts Council Creative Community Award. The Lyceum has been entertaining audiences in the heart of Missouri for 57 years producing a variety of musicals, dramas and comedies. Each year, this 416 seat theatre attracts professional talent from across the country to produce an eight show season (June-December). Performers, designers, directors, and technicians take residence in Arrow Rock for five months to bring its patrons Broadway caliber productions throughout the summer.
The Lyceum Theatre is affiliated with Actors’ Equity Association, the Union for Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States, and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. The Lyceum receives much needed support from the Missouri Arts Council.
