Dreamgirls The Broadway Musical is based on the show business aspirations and successes of R&B acts such as The Supremes, The Shirelles, James Brown, and Jackie Wilson. The musical follows the tumultuous story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called “The Dreams” who become music superstars. Set in the cutthroat, high stakes, and booming popular music business in the 1960s and 1970s, it portrays highly dramatic interactions between characters both on stage and off as they overcome a myriad of hurdles in pursuing their dreams. They discover, vividly, how the music business can change from brutally ugly to unbelievably glorious all in the blink of an eye.

Murder Mystery Weekend

Showdown at the Rundown Saloon

Kick off your boots and stay the weekend Nov. 5-7

Sofonda Fellers and her right-hand man, Dang Steadfast, are facing the loss of one of the most storied saloons of the Wild West, the Risky-a-Go-Go.  With the threat of foreclosure hanging over them, they call in Sheriff Tex to investigate some mysterious happenings.  Add in come addicted poker players, nosy journalists, clueless cowboys, and colorful dancing girls, and you have a saloon-ful of mystery and hijinks.  So grab a pard’ner, and come say, “Howdy” to the folks at the Risky-a-Go-Go.  With any luck, you’ll prove you have what it takes to solve the mystery and be this year’s Super Sleuth!

Songwriter City

An intimate evening with two of country music’s well-known songwriters!

Paul Overstreet is best known for writing country music mainstays such as “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “On the Other Hand,” both of which were No. 1 hits for Randy Travis. He also co-wrote “When You Say Nothing At All” which was a No. 1 single for Keith Whitley, and later a Top 5 hit for Alison Krauss. He has won two Grammy’s, ACM and CMA Song of the Year Awards, and in 2003, Paul was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was named the BMI Songwriter of the Year for 5 straight years, an achievement on music row that had never been achieved before or since. He has written the hit songs “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” for Kenny Chesney and “Some Beach” for Blake Shelton.

Scotty Emerick is best known for his songwriting association with Toby Keith. Among his co-writing credits are No. 1 hit songs “I’m Just Talking About Tonight,” the Willie Nelson duet “Beer For My Horses,” “I Love This Bar,” “Whiskey Girl,” and “As Good As I Once Was.” As a musician, he began landing cuts by Sawyer Brown including their Top 5 single “I Don’t Believe in Goodbye.” Scotty is a frequent co-performer on Toby Keith’s national stadium and arena tours.

Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
